Your New Role:

The Trainee Payroll Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the payroll department by executing daily, monthly, and annual payroll tasks such as but not limited to the following:
Answering payroll-related queries from employees and the business New Starter and Leaver processing Statutory payment processing Absence processing Attachment of earnings orders processing Auto enrolment and pension contribution changes Company benefit scheme processing Creating and submitting the salaries payment file via BACS Preparing the monthly payroll journal Maintaining AIS data Processing tax year end documentation Ensuring national and international deadlines are complied with for own area of responsibility Ensuring the security of documentation and electronic data in own area of responsibility

About You

Experience in end to end payroll processing High attention to detail Strong excel skills Driven with a strong work ethic Able to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise workload to meet business-critical deadlines Works in a structured, methodical manner Takes personal responsibility for resolving queries and issues Strong written and verbal communication skills Team player Positive attitude towards change and innovation CIPP/CIPD Payroll / Pension Qualifications (Desirable) Knowledge of ResourceLink Payroll System (Desirable) Experience of Workday HR (Desirable)
