An opportunity has arisen at Services 4 Schools for a Trainee Payroll Officer to join the HR Business Support team providing support and advice to academies and maintained schools.

This role is a great opportunity for someone to start a career in Payroll, with full training you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced members of the team whilst also gaining a certified qualification.

To meet client demand S4S are looking to recruit a Trainee Payroll Officer.

In this post, you will be responsible for:

Payroll Duties:



assisting in the processing of Payroll for a number of Payroll clients; as directed by the Service Lead processing statutory payments and deductions carry out payroll calculations such as maternity, paternity, sickness and holiday pay quality checking of all payroll transactions production and distribution of relevant payroll and pension reports liaising with third parties as required providing advice and guidance to Schools / Trusts and employees
You will need:

to be Educated to GCSE level or equivalent a willingness to learn excellent IT (especially Microsoft excel) and mathematical skills to be a problem solver excellent communication and organisation skills to work accurately and to strict deadlines in a busy office environment a keen eye for detail the ability to plan, prioritise and organise to work flexibly to the needs of the service
