TRAINEE PRINTER & COPIER ENGINEER


Full-time, permanent position
A full clean UK driving license is required

Lex has an excellent opportunity for a trainee printer and copier service engineer to support our client base across North England and the surrounding areas.

It is important that our Printer & Copier engineer can:


Provide outstanding service to our clients, it is important their equipment is working correctly, and that we offer a prompt service.

Use learnt mechanical skills to repair print devices, Lex provides manufacturer training as well as online and in-house training. Confident, after shadowing and training to carry out repairs and attending to faults on Konica Minolta/Develop, Lexmark, and Kyocera printing devices. Excellent time keeping, organisation, and a well-presented person that can communicate well to colleagues and clients. Work well individually and in a team.

Tasks will include:



Fixing device faults and assisting customers remotely - if the fault is settings related for example. Attending customer's site to diagnose and repair printer and copier faults. Including stripping, inspecting, cleaning, and fitting necessary parts. Performing preventative maintenance visits to contracted devices. Carry out device relocations and installations alongside team members. Delivery of consumables to customers' sites, as well as assisting with other areas of the business such as the delivery of stationery/office products and office furniture/IT products when necessary. Good IT skills, and ability to learn how to install print devices on a network environment, as well as scan to folder/email knowledge. Completing deliveries of stationery, furniture and other workplace hardware/consumables to our customer base.
