The Role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious
Trainee Project Manager
to join our Custodial Division. Reporting directly to the Custodial Director, you will receive structured training and mentoring to develop the skills and experience needed to manage projects from concept through to completion. This role offers hands-on exposure to every stage of project delivery -- from design coordination and manufacturing, to installation and client handover.
For the right candidate, this position offers a
clear pathway to progress into a full Project Manager role
within the Custodial Division.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Custodial Director in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
Site visits may be required for which all accommodation and subsistence are provided.
Assist with project documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting.
Gain practical experience in managing site activities, health & safety compliance, and quality assurance.
Build a strong understanding of custodial security products and their application in construction projects.
Progress towards independently managing projects within the division.
About You
Degree-educated, preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in project management and the construction industry.
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
Competent in MS Office; knowledge of project management software advantageous.
Own transport and full UK driving licence are essential due to location and site visits.
