Job Summary

Based at our Yeovil site, you will be joining our growing inspection team. SWMF provide top quality surface coatings to the aerospace sector. Your responsibilities will lie in ensuring that Electroplated aerospace parts meet customer and specification requirements.

Note:

This is an entry level trainee role; previous experience is not required however the right attitude to learn and working hard in a rewarding environment is essential.

Daily inspection of incoming customer parts

Daily support on final Inspection of processed aerospace parts, to ensure they meet customer and specification requirements.

Ensuring all documentation is completed in line with the company procedures.

Daily Calibration and maintaining a log of measuring equipment prior to the shift starting

Completion of internal and customer paperwork at final inspection.

Oil, wrapping and packing of completed customer parts is required.

Supporting the Quality department with investigating non-conforming parts.

Interpretation of engineering drawings.

Use of measuring and testing equipment.

Any other task that the company deem suitable or as required (within capabilities)

Awareness of safe handling of chemicals and environmental restrictions.

Ensuring a safe working environment.

Vital and critical part handling training will also be required, supplied by the company

Individual Requirements, Knowledge & Experience

Requirements:

Good timekeeping, honest, reliable, willing/eager to learn new skills and develop.

Knowledge:

Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint, desirable but not essential- Full Training provided.

Experience:

Previous work in a fast paced environment, Good eye for detail, Experience within a factory environment desirable but not essential- Full training is provided in this role.

Skills / Education / Hours of work

Education:

GCSE.

Computer Skills:

Basic knowledge required- Full Training provided.

Pay: 25,628.72 per year
