Hillhouse Group Ltd is a well-established family business and a leading independent supplier of Asphalt, Readymix, Aggregate, Concrete Blocks and Pre-cast concrete products in Scotland.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Manager to join our management team based at our Lomond Quarry in Leslie, Fife.

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this role will be hands-on, with a focus on ensuring safety is maintained across all operations on site. This will involve undertaking routine statutory inspections, understanding all operational activities across the site, including monitoring production, planned maintenance, and developing a strong technical knowledge of our materials. The role will also require the use of computer skills such as Microsoft Office / Excel, etc.

Candidates should be self-motivated, have good communication & management skills, and the ability to effectively plan and organise multiple operations within the site. You must possess good leadership skills to promote a positive team working environment and be comfortable driving forward our Health & Safety culture as well as being focused on the needs of our customers.

Applicants would ideally have been in previous posts within the Quarry/Mining/Recycling/Construction sector and must hold a full driving licence. We will also consider applicants who are willing to advance their career within Quarry Management and full training and support will be provided from the company to succeed in the role.

This is a full-time permanent role. Salary will depend on experience.
