brand new 2-bedded children's home
in the BL7 area and are seeking a dedicated
Trainee Registered Manager
to grow into the role with full support from an experienced senior leadership team.
This is a rare opportunity to be mentored into a Registered Manager position while helping to shape a new, high-quality service from day one.
About the Role
As a Trainee Registered Manager, you will work closely with an experienced senior team to learn how to run an Ofsted-regulated children's home. You will help build a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment for children and young people while gaining the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to become the Registered Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Support with the setup and development of a new 2-bedded children's home
Assist in leading and supporting a motivated staff team
Learn to ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
Support recruitment, staff development, and supervision processes
Contribute to effective budget and resource management
Promote a child-centred culture focused on safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 (Children & Young People or equivalent) - working towards Level 5 or willing to enrol
Experience working in a children's residential setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's needs
Leadership potential with excellent communication skills
Passionate about supporting young people and progressing into management
