We are looking for a motivated
Trainee Registered Manager
to join our team and support the running of our
children's residential home
based in Milton Keynes (MK2).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced
Deputy Manager
or
Senior Practitioner
who is ready to progress into a
Registered Manager
position. You'll receive full training, mentoring, and professional development to help you build the skills and confidence required to successfully register with
Ofsted
and manage your own service in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operations of the children's home.
Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure compliance with
Ofsted
and
Children's Homes Regulations
.
Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for young people to thrive.
Supervise and support staff, ensuring high standards of care and practice.
Contribute to care planning, reviews, and staff training.
Build strong relationships with children, families, local authorities, and professionals.
Step up in the Registered Manager's absence and prepare to transition into registration.
Requirements
Experience working in a
children's residential setting
(minimum of 2 years preferred).
Ideally qualified to
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare
(or equivalent).
Willing to work towards the
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for supporting and improving outcomes for children and young people.
What We Offer
Competitive salary of
45,000 - 60,000
(dependent on experience and progression).
Full training and mentoring

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
working hours (some flexibility may be required).
