Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Trainee Remedial Supervisor to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will assist in executing remedial colour treatments on brick and masonry surfaces across both domestic and commercial sites. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their career in the construction industry, with potential for growth and increased responsibilities over time.
As a Trainee Remedial Supervisor, you will work alongside an experienced supervisor in a team of two, under their direct guidance. Initially, your primary focus will be to learn the required skills from your supervisor while contributing to the completion of key tasks.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Sharing the driving to and from site
2. Liaising with the Site Management Team
3. Unloading & setting up of equipment for the job
4. Assisting with on-site colour matching
5. Supporting your supervisor with the necessary remedial works
6. Taking Before & After Photographs of the works carried out
7. Assist in clearing up materials and equipment at the end of the day
8. Performing basic administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
While prior experience is not required, this role is ideal for individuals looking to enter the construction and building industry and take on a hands-on supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities:
o Site Work:
You will be required to travel to various locations across the UK, assisting with remedial work on a variety of projects and you must be comfortable working on a building site.
o Adaptability to Weather Conditions:
As our operations run year-round, you must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
o Team Collaboration:
You may work with other Supervisors, particularly to cover for team members on leave or absent due to illness; We may place you with a different Supervisor in order to further develop your skills.
o Early Start:
Early morning starts are a regular part of the role, as our supervisors typically begin work early to avoid traffic and to also hopefully finish earlier.
o Accommodation and Travel:
You may be required to stay overnight at different locations. Supervisors typically arrange accommodations near the worksite to minimize travel time and ensure timely project completion. (See below for further details)
o Onsite Remedial Work:

Assist the Supervisor in completing daily remedial tasks for both domestic and commercial projects.
- Colour Matching:Support the preparation and application of colour tints to match specific masonry requirements.
- Teamwork: Work alongside another team member, sharing driving duties to and from project sites across the UK.
- Liaising with Site Managers:Communicate with site managers and assist with any administrative tasks related to project management.
Working at Heights:
You will be required to work at heights using ladders, hydraulic platforms, and scaffolding. (MEWP IPAF training will be provided after 6 months of employment).
o Career Development:
Over the next 12-18 months, you will receive the necessary training and experience to transition into a Supervisor role.
Accommodation and Travel:
Accommodation Allowance: Supervisors are provided with an accommodation allowance of 170.00 per night, which will be shared equally between the Supervisor and Operative. The Supervisor is responsible for arranging suitable accommodations, typically a twin room in a hotel or bed & breakfast.
Accommodation Frequency:
The frequency of overnight stays will vary based on project requirements. Some weeks may require frequent staying over, while others may not involve overnight stays at all. Your supervisor will be informed in advance of any overnight stays.
Meals:
The accommodation allowance generally covers the cost of evening meals and breakfast during your stay.
Travel Arrangements:
Supervisors are provided with a company van for travel to and from site. While you will usually live near the Supervisor's location, it is your responsibility to arrange reliable transport to meet your supervisor in the morning, ready to begin the day's work. On occasion, the Supervisor may arrange to pick you up from your home, depending on the job location.
Key Requirements:
No previous experience required--full training will be provided.
Must hold a current UK driving license (preferably with no more than one endorsement).
Ability to work comfortably at heights (ladders, scaffolding, hydraulic platforms).
Must be able to distinguish colours accurately.
CSCS Card & CITB Safety Awareness Course (desirable but not required).
Comfortable with regular early morning starts and working as part of a team of two.
Full-time availability (Monday to Friday).
Occasional week-end work is available, however, not mandatory
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday (with optional occasional weekend work)
Average working hours: 40-45 hours per week.
Regular early morning starts are expected. (4:30 - 6:30am, however you will finish earlier)
Salary & Benefits:
o Starting Salary:
28,665 per annum (Reviewed Annually).
o Company Pension Scheme:
Employer contribution of 3% of salary (Auto enrolment after 3 months).
o Paid Holiday:
20 days per year + 8 days for bank/public holidays.
o Uniform:
Provided (after 6 months probationary period)
o Bonus Scheme:
Eligibility for a bonus after 12 months of full-time employment.

Holiday Policy:
The company typically closes for 2 weeks during the Christmas period, and we request that 7 days of your annual leave be used during this period.
Opportunity for career progression:
We are hopeful that after 12-18 months and successful completion of your training period, you will be promoted to Supervisor and will be responsible for managing an assistant, with an increase in salary and benefits.
