We're looking for a motivated Trainee Sales Executive to join our growing sales and marketing team. You'll receive full training and support to develop the skills needed for a successful career in sales, with opportunities to grow and progress within our business.

About the Role
As a Trainee Sales Executive, you'll play a key role in helping Owen James Events grow its client base and strengthen existing relationships. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues, attend client meetings, and gain hands-on experience with CRM tools, sales strategy, and customer engagement.

What You'll Be Doing
Maintaining accurate CRM data, recording client interactions, and helping with proposals
Participating in internal sales and marketing meetings
Supporting sales managers during external client meetings
Reaching out to potential new clients and building professional relationships
Responding to inbound sales enquiries via phone and email
Managing leads and tracking progress toward sales goals
Taking qualification calls and arranging follow-up meetings
Making outbound calls to new and existing contacts in the financial services sector
Helping sales and business development managers with appointment setting and admin
Contributing ideas to improve how we work and support clients

Experience & Qualifications
No prior sales experience is required - we welcome applicants from all backgrounds
Experience in a customer-facing role (e.g. retail, hospitality, customer service) is an advantage
An understanding of or interest in financial services is a bonus
Minimum GCSE Maths & English (Grade 5 / C or above); a degree is beneficial but not essential

Hybrid working policy
: 3 days a week in the office to work with colleagues and collaborate. Offices located in Fleet Street, London and Godalming, Surrey.
