About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and practically minded
Trainee Sawyer / Export Case Maker
to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for hands-on work, particularly those who enjoy DIY or working with tools. Prior experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.Key Responsibilities
Training will be provided for all duties:
Set up and operate timber cutting machinery (e.g. crosscut, table, and band saws) Manufacture wooden cases and pallets to specification Use of pneumatic nail guns and various hand tools Operate forklift trucks (FLT) and overhead cranes (training provided) Maintain a clean and safe working environment Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Required Skills & Attributes
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn Practical and hands-on with a strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Hours:
37hrs Mon-Thurs 7:45 - 16:00 Fri 7:45 - 13:45Benefits:
25 days annual leave (flexi) plus 8 statutory holidays
