Forever Education is working with an exceptional SEN school that supports children and young people aged 2-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This school has been rated Outstanding by OFSTED for over 21 years and is now seeking a compassionate and dedicated Trainee SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025 on a permanent basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that meet the complex needs of pupils with PMLD and SLD
Work collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants and therapists to support holistic development
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Small class sizes and dedicated support
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Communicate effectively with families and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure consistent support for pupils
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Degree qualified with a 2.1 or above
Support pupils and students aged 2 to 19 with severe learning difficulties, tailoring assistance to their unique needs.
Work under the mentorship of experienced Senior Leaders.
Fully funded TES Straight into Teaching programme for you!
Foster strong relationships with parents, families, and the local community to support pupil and student development.
Occasionally supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences
Uphold the standards and expectations required of a trainee SEN teacher
