Armed with fresh thinking and an endeavour to improve service and outcomes in the world of fabrication, OnFab specialise in precision components for industries including commercial roofing, construction and broader fabrication markets.
We're a growing team passionate about quality craftsmanship and innovation, and we're looking for a talented Fabricator to join our workshop and help deliver exceptional results for our clients.
The Role:
As a Trainee Sheet Metal Fabricator, you'll play a key part in our production process, learning technical drawings to ensure quality in our product through skilled fabrication and assembly. This hands-on role offers variety, from one-off prototypes to batch production, in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Counterbalance Forklift truck operation, taking deliveries and safely operating within the workshop.
Support our fabrication team in their day-to-day workshop activities.
Support the operation of press brakes for accurate bending and forming of sheet metal components.
Maintain an organised workspace and adhere to health and safety protocols.
Ensure housekeeping and maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
Collaborate with the team and demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Please note a counterbalance forklift license is essential for this position, please note this in your cover letter upon application.
Stong work ethic, reliable, honest with good time keeping and an appetite to develop skills within a supportive environment.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to quality.
Right to work in the UK essential; relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication and Welding) are advantageous.
