Trainee Solicitor
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Scots Law (LLB and DPLP) graduate to join our firm as a Trainee Solicitor, with a primary focus on Family Law and Criminal Law.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A genuine interest in litigation and client advocacy, particularly within family and criminal proceedings
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients in often sensitive or high-pressure situations
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management
A proactive and responsible approach to caseload support
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting solicitors with case preparation, legal research, drafting and court documentation
Attending court hearings and client meetings
Liaising with counsel, witnesses and external agencies
Providing administrative and procedural support across both departments
Requirements:
Completion of LLB (Scots Law) and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice
Eligible to commence or register a training contract with the Law Society of Scotland
