Scottish Engineering is seeking applications for a Trainee Solicitor to join our Legal & HR Team which provides employment law and HR advice and representation at Employment Tribunal to a wide range of companies, mainly in the manufacturing and engineering sector. You will have completed your law degree and postgraduate qualification (in either Scotland or England and Wales) and be ready to commence or transfer your traineeship. The work will be exclusively employment law based - you will have early opportunities for client contact, providing advice on employment law issues, drafting contracts, reviewing policies and handbooks and representing clients at an Employment Tribunal, all under supervision. An interest in learning how to deliver training for clients would also be advantageous. Scottish Engineering will provide all training to enable you to meet Law Society requirements during your traineeship.

The annual salary will be 10% above Law Society recommended rates, and we have an excellent benefits package, with 33 days leave, company sick pay, Cycle to Work scheme, and a generous pension provision. A current driving licence is desirable, but not essential.
