We seek applicants with strong academic credentials and with good communication and people skills. As a medium sized firm we can offer a rounded Traineeship with experience in varied legal work and direct client contact. Your training will be provided by experienced Solicitors who are approachable, and you will have supportive mentors.
We offer training in Private Client work, Residential and Commercial conveyancing and in Family Law. You will be part of a firm which believes in the importance of good work/life balance. You will have the opportunity to be involved in transactions from beginning to end gaining a full understanding of a Solicitor's role.
Main tasks:-
Working alongside our Directors/Associates/Paralegals
Conducting Legal Research
Corresponding with Clients and other Solicitors/Paralegals
Assisting with busy and variety of caseloads from start to finish
Providing support in drafting legal documents
Requirements:-
A Degree in Law (Scottish) or pass in all prescribed exams via Law Society of Scotland's alternative route to qualifying
A Diploma in Professional Legal Practice
Be confident in using technology and experience working with Microsoft Office
Prove you have strong communication and organisational skills
Positive outlook and attitude
