Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of telecommunication systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects involving network infrastructure, VoIP systems, CCTV, and other communication technologies. Responsibilities

Design and implement telecommunication systems including CCTV, VoIP, Ethernet networks, and Cisco routers. Install and configure network hardware such as switches, routers, and related equipment in accordance with schematics and technical specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on telecommunication hardware and electrical components to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot complex network issues using hand tools and diagnostic software; resolve connectivity problems promptly. Assist with the installation of network cabling and equipment using appropriate hand tools and safety procedures. Analyse system schematics to plan installation layouts and maintenance schedules effectively. Collaborate with team members to develop customised telecommunication solutions tailored to client requirements. Document system configurations, repairs, and upgrades accurately for future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience with CCTV systems, Avaya communication platforms, Juniper devices, Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling, and VoIP technology. Strong understanding of computer networking principles including schematics interpretation and network installation techniques. Practical knowledge of electrical systems and experience with electrical wiring or equipment repair is highly desirable. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks. Familiarity with telecommunication standards and protocols within a professional environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to diagnose issues quickly in complex network environments. Relevant qualifications or certifications in telecommunications engineering or related fields are advantageous.
