The Opportunity


We're looking for a

Trainee Transport Planner

to join our operations team and grow into a key part of our planning function. You'll work alongside experienced planners, learning how to manage daily vehicle and driver movements, plan efficient routes, maintain compliance, and ensure outstanding customer service.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's organised, confident under pressure, and eager to build a career in logistics and transport management.

What You'll Do



Support the planning and scheduling of vehicle and driver movements across the UK. Assist with daily communication between drivers, customers, and the operations team. Help monitor delivery performance, driver hours, and compliance data. Learn to use Transport Management Systems (Vigo, FleetCheck, TachoMaster). Gain insight into transport compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For



Strong organisational and communication skills. Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office. Interest in logistics, transport, or operational planning. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take responsibility. Previous experience in transport.

What We Offer



24,000 - 28,000 depending on experience. Full-time, office-based role (Monday - Friday with alternatives Saturday mornings) 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus an additional day for your birthday (after probation).
