Job Summary:



We are seeking a person to join our maintenance and service team. The successful candidate will learn how the installation, splicing, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belts are used in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will be trained in belt vulcanisation, covering of conveyor drums, installation and maintenance of chain conveyors, fitting and maintaining of conveyor accessories, Company and site safety procedures, and must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:



- Assisting senior engineers in the vulcanising of conveyor belts using hot and cold and mechanical methods.

- Assisting senior engineers to Inspect belts for wear, tear, and other defects.

- Assist senior engineers to Install, maintain, and replace conveyor belts in various industrial settings.

- Assist senior engineers to Align and track conveyor belts to ensure smooth and efficient operation.

- When trained Operate vulcanising equipment and other tools to carry out tasks safely and efficiently.

- Maintain a high level of safety standards during installation, splicing, and maintenance procedures.

- Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used and maintain equipment in good working condition.

- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime of conveyor systems.

- Respond to emergency repairs and breakdowns in allocated time.

Requirements:



- Proven experience will suit someone is has been used to working outdoors and used to manual work.

- Ability to operate splicing and vulcanising equipment and use relevant hand tools once trained.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.

- Physical ability to handle heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., dusty, noisy, confined spaces).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

- Applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours, due to the business offering its customers throughout the U.K 24 hours breakdown service and be able to undertake night and weekend work.

- Applicant must be willing to work away from home occasionally

- The ability to work independently when given a task as well as part of a team.

- Undertake training and development as required.

-Always maintain a punctual consistent attendance and professional appearance.

- Ability to communicate clearly with customers, team members and management.

-Ability to complete necessary paperwork

- Applicants must Adhere to all relevant health and safety laws and policies

- Applicants must be able to work in confined spaces and work at heights
