Job Overview


We are currently seeking a process driven, and detail-oriented Trainee/Graduate Quantity Surveyor or similar to join our Construction & M&E team.

This role requires strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers and the senior team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our project management team by providing precise cost control measures & assisting and bettering our procurement systems.

Roles & Responsibilities



Procurement & Sub-contractor Engagement



Participate in the procurement process and engagement of subcontractors and suppliers. Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors Prepare procurement schedules & identify long-lead in items, ensuring timely procurement to assist with driving programme to achieve deadlines. (or key project milestones) Define responsibilities and establish terms and conditions for subcontractor and supplier agreements. Prepare and agree subcontractor payment certificates. Authorise supplier and subcontractor invoices and applications.

Commercial support



Assist the Pre-Construction department with pre-contract and tender activities. Negotiate and agree terms and conditions for contracts and sub-contracts. Assist with costing of variations and adjustments to contracts once projects are live. Attend site meetings, providing updates and supporting high levels of internal and external communication.

Financial Reporting and Forecasting



Support cost management through procurement and monthly Cost/Value reconciliations. Managing budgets, cost control and contract administration Prepare, report on, and update Cash-flows

Qualifications & Key Skills



A degree or high level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction or a related subject Great communication skills and a willingness to learn A collaborative approach and drive to make a difference

Pay: From 27,500.00 per year
