Trainee/qualified Dental Nurse
Job Description
We are looking for a new dental nurse to join our well established dental practice due to expansion!
We welcome experienced dental nurses to apply but are also happy to meet those with no experience/trainees who will need to start a training course which we can assist with.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist during dental procedures
- Sterilising and preparing dental instruments and equipment
- Taking and developing dental x-rays
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study models
- Providing oral hygiene instructions to patients
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 11 per hour for trainee dental nurses, 14-15ph for qualified dental nurses, depending on experience
Expected hours: 41 per week, Mon-Fri 8.45am-6pm
Skills
- Proficient in IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine commitment to patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Previous experience as a nurse is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
