Graduate Training Contract - Criminal Law Department
We are seeking a motivated graduate to join our Criminal Law Department on an initial probation period of 6 months with a view to progressing to a full training contract. This role offers structured development, hands-on case exposure, and mentoring from experienced solicitors. Successful candidates will gain experience across police station representation, Magistrates' and Crown Court work, legal research, client support, and advocacy preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist fee-earners with case preparation, research, drafting, and client communications
Attend police stations and court hearings under supervision
Manage administrative case tasks and support solicitors in daily practice
Maintain high professional standards and comply with regulatory requirements
Requirements
Undergoing or completed SQE
Strong academic record
Excellent communication, research, and organisational skills
Commitment to criminal justice and client-focused service
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive matters
