Houghton Hams is a well-established, family-run, food production business which started in 1989, based in Moulton Park. Since the year 2000, Houghton Hams has rapidly grown and expanded. With customers and clients ranging from high end retailers to individual customers and food establishments, Houghton Hams went from having one building to now having four.

We supply to our customers nationally on a next day service. Products include, but not limited to, bacon, gammon joints, hams, and sausages.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Training Co-Ordinator to join a busy food manufacturing company. The Training Co-Ordinator will provide comprehensive training support across the business.



Main responsibilities of the role include:



Working on the factory floor to support the delivery of/and/or deliver essential training and buddying of new starters Working with H&S and Technical team to maintain, update and develop standard operating procedures including working practice updates, coordinating and delivering refresher training, through observations, assessments, retraining or policy and procedure updates for colleagues. Deliver training in specific areas of legal compliance, factory floor skills, SOP's, safe systems of work, Health and Safety, CCPs and CICs etc. in line with agreed standards Verify training previously carried out to ensure colleagues are carrying out their work activity in accordance with the systems and procedures in place Maintain matrices and training records for all colleagues Take ownership through to resolution, escalating complex situations as appropriate. Supporting in general H&S matter where required reporting to the H&S and factory manager

Qualifications and Skills:



A supportive nature, always happy to help make a difference to others Previous experience in training would be preferable but not essential. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Strong 'people' and communication skills, both written and verbal

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
