Role responsibilities



The Training and Development Manager is responsible for designing and implementing effective training programs, collaborating with all departments to ensure alignment with company goals. The Training and Development Manager will identify, create and roll out training to develop colleagues to achieve their full potential and ensure we deliver outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

Lead on the design, development and implementation of training programs by specifically focussing on enhancing the customer experience capabilities of teams within an organization, to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to use Uno to support customers on their journey. Create engaging learning materials, including presentations, case studies, simulations, and e-learning modules by collaborating with other workstreams and areas of the business to understand learning requirements and lessons learnt to ensure this is embedded in the right way. Identify training needs, develop tailored curriculums, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives for program delivery by assessing any gaps in colleagues' knowledge and understanding to ensure that excellent customer service is being delivered. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand specific project delivery challenges and training requirements by providing specialist coaching and team facilitation to give the right skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding customer service.

Who we're looking for



Skilled and have experience in training needs analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation. Significant experience in the design, delivery, and management of learning in a business environment. Knowledge of e-learning, blended learning, and latest training/learning methods. Ability to translate organisational strategy into learning and development solutions demonstrated through previous experience. Ability to recognise the causal impacts of employee behaviours to company performance and providing training solutions which mitigates risk and develops culture awareness.

Welsh Language Skills



The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.

Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
