Training Manager / Technical Trainer - Doncaster - Full-time - Pay DOE
Rhino Recruitment is seeking an experienced Training Manager / Technical Trainer to join an established team in Doncaster. This is a key opportunity for a qualified trainer to take ownership of both course delivery and training centre operations within a specialist learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery

  • Deliver accredited and non-accredited training across a range of subjects including:
  • ECITB (CCNSG, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels)
  • City & Guilds Confined Space (Medium Risk)
  • First Aid at Work / Emergency First Aid
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Working at Height
  • Fire Safety / Fire Warden
  • Use classroom and blended learning techniques across both internal and client sites
  • Contribute to course content planning and development to ensure relevance and effectiveness
Training Management
  • Manage scheduling, support, and development of associate trainers
  • Coordinate CPD, standardisation activities, and trainer performance reviews
  • Ensure training centre facilities and materials are prepared and fit for delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of training, certification, and trainer portfolios
Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Lead audits and compliance processes with awarding bodies (e.g. ECITB, City & Guilds, CITB, Qualsafe)
  • Ensure all courses meet regulatory and internal quality standards
  • Act as Centre Coordinator where needed
  • Manage course validations, approval renewals, IQA activity, and audit actions
Business Development and Marketing
  • Support the growth of training services through collaboration with the marketing team
  • Promote training through social media, campaigns, and events
  • Participate in exhibitions and open days to represent the training offer
  • Monitor course uptake and contribute ideas to increase attendance
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities during client engagement
System and e-Learning Support
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Contribute to the integration of digital learning tools and techniques
Essential Qualifications
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or equivalent)
  • Current ECITB trainer certifications (e.g. CCNSG)
  • Level 3 Health & Safety qualification
  • Assessor or IQA qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1, V1)
  • Full UK driving licence
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of safety-critical training environments and awarding body compliance
  • Experience managing training staff or functions
  • Confident communicator able to adapt delivery to different learner needs
  • Organised, proactive, and quality-focused
