An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Learning & Development Manager to join a successful food manufacturing business based in Hemsworth.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a key role where you'll lead the learning, development, and internal communications strategy across site - driving engagement, supporting compliance, and helping every team member to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver a company-wide Learning & Development strategy, aligning with business goals and food safety compliance.
  • Lead and continuously improve the company induction process, ensuring a consistent, engaging onboarding experience.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) across departments to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate training records and matrices, providing insights into team performance and compliance status.
  • Create and deliver learning programmes using a blend of digital, classroom, and on-the-job methods.
  • Champion a "Train the Trainer" culture across the business, empowering line managers to develop their teams.
  • Research and recommend new learning initiatives to meet company needs and legislative updates.
  • Support the HR Manager with training budgets, reporting and MI, and career pathway planning through the REXX HR system.
  • Take ownership of internal communications, developing consistent and engaging messages that reflect company values and enhance the "Voice of YPM."
About You
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification in Learning & Development (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Confident designing and delivering training programmes from scratch.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage and inspire people at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, structured working style, and great organisation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with HR/training systems.
  • Passionate about personal and professional development, with a proactive and flexible approach.
