The Training Programme Director in Internal Medicine and lead for quality for IM stage 2 will support the Head/Associate Heads of School in Strategic Development and quality assurance. The post holder will be a member of the School Board
As a result of NHS England's (NHSE) integration into the Department of Health, all educator recruitment activity either extensions to existing contracts or new appointments, will have an end date of 31 March 2027. Main duties of the job
The job will have two key areas of focus:
1. TPD for IMS2
The post-holder will join the team of two existing TPDs who advise and support IMS2 training across the Deanery. The role will include leading on ARCPs with the two existing post-holders including penultimate year reviews. A key part of the role will be organising the IMS2 teaching sessions that are delivered by Teams/Zoom.
2. Quality Lead
The School of Medicine is keen to improve the experience of IM training. Currently, we are starting to develop quality panels to monitor satisfaction and feedback to Trusts.
The post-holder would work with the Flexible Portfolio Trainees developing the intervention and lead on/monitor data including the Annual Specialty Reports and GMC surveys.
