Training Specialist

Cambridge, United Kingdom

Job Description

We're looking for a training-focused technical specialist who knows how to take complex systems, break them down, and teach them clearly. You'll design and deliver training programs for internal teams, partners, and end-users - ensuring they can confidently operate and deploy our RF intelligence systems.
This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, hands-on system knowledge, and clear, confident delivery.
What you'll be doing

  • Own the design, development, and delivery of technical training packages
(Instructor-Led, blended learning, DSAT-aligned programmes). * Translate complex RF/systems concepts into structured, digestible learning modules.
  • Deliver training in-person and remotely to global defence, security and technical audiences.
  • Build training artefacts: slide decks, exercise guides, assessments, user workflows, SOPs.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, and field teams to maintain technical accuracy.
  • Gather learner feedback and continuously refine training content.
  • Support live demos, field evaluations, and technical onboarding sessions.
You should have
  • Experience designing and delivering technical training (ideally DSAT-based)
  • Confidence presenting to mixed audiences - from operators to senior engineers.
  • Ability to write clear training materials, guides, and structured learning paths.
  • Hands-on, practical mindset - comfortable setting up and operating equipment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training delivery.
Nice to have
  • Defence/DoD/MoD training background.
  • Experience constructing training evaluations, assessments, and competency frameworks.
  • Exposure to field testing, system deployment, or customer-facing technical work.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, ILT/VILT best practice, or scenario-based learning.
