We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Training Technicians at the 48 Maintenance Group, Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath , United Kingdom.

What will be your primary role?



This position manages the scheduling of all academic and deployment training for the 48th Maintenance Group and tenant units. Working closely with Unit Training Managers, Maintenance Training Instructors, and other training offices (on and off base), the individual will:

- Develop and Manage Training Schedules by reviewing, prioritize, and coordinate academic requests to create weekly and monthly schedules meeting training managers' requirements.

- Plan and Coordinate Training Events by scheduling academic and deployment training events, classes, instructors, and resources, including both programmed and unprogrammed events.

- Maintain Key Relationship by establishing and maintain effective working relationships with base organizations, senior leadership, and training personnel.

- Utilize Office Software by employing office automation software (including word processing, spreadsheets, and Integrated Maintenance Data Systems) to manage data, update files, and communicate effectively.

- Track Training Completion by updating training records and promptly notify Squadron Commanders of no-shows or unfilled seats.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?



1. Knowledge of the rules, concepts, techniques, procedures, and operations of flying training programs to perform specialized assignments in the academic scheduling function.

2. Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources to determine quality, accuracy, and applicability.

3. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files; a qualified typist is not required.

4. Skill in applying basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve conflicts and determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the program.

5. Ability to use one or more established computer programs/software (Microsoft Office) to enter, maintain, sort, and retrieve organizational and/or program data.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy.

What are the conditions of employment for this role?



1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.

2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.

3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.

4. Overtime may be required..

5. You may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

6. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

7. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.

8. Your hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week on an a Fixed schedule (this will be working Mon-Fri) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies

- Specialized Experience

OR

- 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
