Join us as a Transaction Manager - Loan Execution within Wholesale Lending.
Transaction Management (TM) is part of Wholesale Lending and provides debt structuring and execution for Corporate and Investment Banking clients globally. TM has a wide remit, covering all multibank loans, event driven loans (M&A, financial sponsor LBOs, IPOs, money out) and general corporate relationship lending of 10m or more. There is no upper limit and transactions can exceed 1bn. Clients are based across a range of geographies including the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Asia.
In this role you will structure, negotiate and execute high quality debt products to our clients which are profitable for Barclays and which are acceptable from a risk perspective. Specifically, to produce and negotiate term sheets, negotiate facility agreements and other finance documents and ultimately to bring transactions to a close. The role-holder is expected to develop and use up to date market and product knowledge, to bring creative idea generation and to develop and deploy market leading structuring and deal management capabilities in order to structure, negotiate and deliver innovative debt solutions in a timely manner.
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Experience negotiating loan documentation
Strong credit risk analysis skills. Encourages information sharing in respect of developments in the lending market, shares best practices and innovative solution
Strong understanding of debt products across a broad spectrum of structures
Produces high quality work and takes pride in attention to detail
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the structuring and execution of our transactions
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of macro-economic trends and factors affecting the debt market
Experience of originating loan transaction
Detailed knowledge of back office loan functions
