Transactional Processing Assistant



15-Month Fixed-Term Contract



Location: Shirley (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office)



Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week




We are seeking a highly organised and proactive

Transactional Processing Assistant

to join our finance team on a 15 Month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role offers a mix of remote working with one day per week in our Shirley office.


You'll play a vital role in supporting our transactional finance operations, period-end processes, acquisitions, and banking administration - ensuring smooth and accurate financial processing across the business.

Key Responsibilities:



PDQ Administration & Site Support



Handle terminal orders, cancellations, and maintain accurate records Respond to queries on transactions, refunds, and settlements Maintain VAT schedules and bank reference lists Support with charge disputes and general PDQ enquiries

Period-End Responsibilities



Journal entries related to unreconciled cash, AP Close, and payments Reconciliation of Healthy Pet Club receipts and charges Assist with code-level analysis and reporting

Acquisition Workstreams



Set up new merchant accounts and virtual terminals Provide PDQ and banking support for acquisitions, including Irish operations Act as finance admin point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Banking Support & Administration



Manage user accounts and approvals for Lloyds and JP Morgan Support the Ireland finance team with account setup Maintain and approve Virtual Credit Card users, purchase groups, and cost centre data

Team & Process Support



Assist managers with journal entries, analysis, and ad-hoc cover Contribute to process improvement and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

What You'll Bring:



Proven experience in a finance or transactional processing role Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Excellent communication and organisational skills Proficiency with financial systems (Oracle or similar is a plus) Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
