We are looking for a Transformation Analyst to join our team, based at our Sustainable Distribution Centre (SDC) site in Northampton (NN7 2FR). This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the flexibility to work remotely for up to four days per week, subject to business requirements. The successful candidate will be required to travel to various Yusen Logistics UK locations as part of the role.




As a Transformation Analyst, you will analyse and shape warehouse transformation initiatives, supporting the design and implementation of optimised warehouse solutions for both new and existing customers. The role works closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, and Procurement, to assess current-state processes, define future-state models, and deliver data-driven solutions aligned with business objectives and the organisation's strategic direction.




This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of 33,500 to 36,000 per annum plus a 5,000 car allowance, dependent on experience. The role operates on a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule, with working hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.





Responsibilities:


1. Process Analysis


Measure cycle times and understand processes and exceptions. Gather operational data aligned with the process measurements and understand the restrictions and exceptions to the measured processes. Prepare a structured analysis and present it to a wide-ranging audience, showing the overall rationale and understanding of operations/systems/administration constraints and requirements.
2. Innovation


Identify process weaknesses and areas for improvement, suggesting practical and effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Prepare and present an analysis that shows the cost versus benefits and the overall effects on operations.
3. Warehouse Mapping


Understand warehouse layout and flow of stock. Able to accurately measure and draw warehouse layouts with the ability to identify improvements to the layout. Show the implications of various scenarios within the warehouse layout.
4. RFQ Response


Develop appropriate and realistic warehouse solutions for new and existing customers to meet tender requirements Operational process modelling, warehouse layout design, resource planning, including shift patterns, manager & MHE levels
5. Customer Service & Relations


Ensure that customer service meets customer and business expectations, ensuring communication is timely and appropriate. Build and maintain good team relationships with associated departments, ensuring a joined-up approach in all proposed solutions



Key skills and requirements


Demonstrable experience within warehouse operations and/or FMCG environment Experience of influencing or supporting operational change. Experience in using design tools like CAD or CLASS preferred (not mandatory). Advanced Microsoft Office skills (esp. Excel) Strong analytical skills to collect, interpret, and analyse complex data sets. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and present findings to stakeholders at various levels. Proficient in building strong relationships & fostering collaboration to generate buy-in from stakeholders across different departments.
