We're looking for a forward-thinking and results-driven Project Manager to lead a vital transformation project within the award-winning Lightbulb programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a new, streamlined approach to Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) delivery across Leicestershire. You'll be at the forefront of designing, coordinating and embedding changes that ensure services are person-centred, preventative, and responsive to the needs of our most vulnerable residents.

As DFG Project Manager, you will:

Lead the review and redesign of DFG delivery processes across multiple councils and partner organisations.

Develop and manage a robust project plan, producing reports, presenting to stakeholders, and engaging partners throughout. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve integration and reduce duplication and delays. Gather feedback from service users and communities to shape a new, more efficient and accessible customer journey. Monitor risk, maintain delivery schedules and ensure the project meets Lightbulb's vision for health and housing integration.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in managing multi-agency projects that support residents or improve public service delivery. Possesses strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills. Can confidently lead change and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. Is highly analytical, detail-focused, and driven by continuous improvement. Can work independently and bring fresh ideas to complex service challenges.

A knowledge of social care, housing adaptations, or supporting vulnerable residents is advantageous, but not essential.

Benefits of working with us include a Local Government Pension scheme, exciting career opportunities, flexible working including flexi-time scheme and out of town offices with free car parking and cycle bays. Further details on our benefits can be found on the Employee Benefitspage.

We also support hybrid working arrangements with a combination of on-site and home working.

Internal applicants can apply for this exciting opportunity via iTrent Employee Self Service (ESS). Once logged in, if you click on the person icon in the top corner of the home screen and then on 'useful links', another link will appear called 'Apply for a Job' (web recruitment).

Flexible working may be considered but not guaranteed.

Should you have any technical issues when applying, please email the HR Mailbox at Human.Resources@Blaby.gov.uk.

Closing date:

19th February 2026

Interview date:

27th February 2026 or 3rd March 2026
