Our competitive advantage is our people, and we're always looking for talented individuals to join us as we continue to transform skylines across the UK & Europe. A career at Severfield presents the opportunity for you to develop, grow, and to feel part of something special, after all, we are all in it
together
!
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Transformational Programme Director to lead the delivery of four major business change programmes across work winning, project delivery, manufacturing excellence and organisation design. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond programme oversight, you'll take ownership for delivery, work closely with operational teams on the ground, and drive real process and behavioural change across the business. With support from external consultants in the initial phase, you'll play a key role in transitioning that delivery into an embedded internal capability.
Vacancy Details
The Transformational Programme Director position will report directly to the CEO. This is a pivotal role that will shape how we work, ensuring projects deliver measurable financial outcomes and lasting cultural change.
You will take ownership of the transformation roadmap, integrating the work of external consultants while building and leading a small internal delivery team for long-term success. With a focus on people, processes, and behaviours, you will ensure change is embedded across the business, not just through systems.
Key priorities include:
Driving programme governance, tracking delivery against KPIs and financial outcomes.
Managing and transitioning consultant-led work into sustainable business-as-usual.
Partnering with the Group IT Director to align digital and systems initiatives with wider transformation goals.
Leading process redesign and organisational change across tendering, project delivery, manufacturing, and support functions.
Acting as the single point of coordination for the CEO and Executive team, building trust and engagement across all levels of the organisation.
Key Skills & experience
You'll need a strong track record of delivering complex change in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments, with experience managing third-party partners, aligning multiple workstreams, and working closely with IT, commercial and operational stakeholders. This is not an IT transformation role, it's about how Severfield works, and how our people, processes and systems evolve to support growth.
This role is suited to a proven leader of complex transformations, combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You will need strong stakeholder management skills, credibility across diverse teams, and the ability to balance pace with sustainability.
If you're pragmatic, delivery-focused and confident working at all levels of an organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
