The role:



An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside the Director of Skills and School Partnerships and NEET prevention team to support both learners within the College and school leavers at risk of becoming NEET to transition effectively to the next stage of education or training.

Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Fixed term until December 2026

29,910 - 32,918 per annum

Key Responsibilities:



Act as a mentor to identified young people to help them overcome any barriers to progression and signpost appropriate provision Assist in the planning, development and delivery of an innovative programme that will engage and motivate learners whilst helping them focus on short and long term progression goals Actively involved in the planning and organising of transition activity that the college offers throughout the academic year Responsible for tracking and monitoring identified learners whilst ensuring that college support services are kept informed You will be required to travel between college sites and visits to partner schools

About you:



Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English Language (A - C)
Experience of working directly with young people in a school or further education setting Good knowledge of education and training provision available locally Excellent communication skills, enabling you to liaise effectively with learners and key internal and external stakeholders Organised and a competent user of Microsoft Office packages
