We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join our Supported Learning Department as a Transition Officer on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.





Supporting the safe and effective transition of students with EHCPs, principally from Year 11 into a new Further Education environment. The role is based largely at our Openshaw office but sometimes you will work across multiple campuses according to intended student destinations, working with students, parents, and school staff from multiple local authorities.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience





To be successful in this role, you will need:


Disability Specialism, Level 2 Certificate In supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent. L2 English and Maths or equivalent. Recent teaching or supporting learners with a SEND and application of person-centred approaches to support and learning. Developing and working with Education, Health and Care plans and contributing in Person Centred Reviews. Working with multi-agencies to plan and provide effective support to learners with SEND. Creating bespoke packages to support people. Computer Literate. Effective Communication Skills. Ability to foster a culture of teamwork. Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative in complex situations. Effective Time Management & organisational skills. Use of own car for business purposes (where appropriate).
