Administration Assistant - Transport Customer Care



At ABE we are proud to be an integral part of the local business community. We move a whole variety of raw materials, ingredients, finished goods, food , home consumables, retail items and agricultural supplies locally and nationwide. Lorries are an essential part of the country's infrastructure.

Our work has plenty of routine and structure, but no two days are the same, it's always busy and our customer care team are finding the best solution to the inevitable challenges and hold ups in the lifecycle of a consignment and we pride ourselves in being friendly, efficient and reliable .

In this role, your day will be spent predominantly communicating by telephone, email and message service and working with our transport software.

We can teach you about transport and logistics, but a strong service ethic, teamwork and taking ownership are critical to our success so you will need to demonstrate in your CV and at interview:

This is a role with plenty of challenge and interest, in which you can enjoy looking after our customers for the long term. However, the Logistics industry also has extensive opportunities and this role may also be a great way to learn a skillset that can be the foundation for growing your career for many years to come.

Working hours will usually be 09:30 - 18:00 with a 45 minute lunch break, but a little flexibility is required due to the nature of our business

Our day starts at 06:00 and as your training progresses you may be required to cover planned holidays and support unplanned absence, or your scheduled duties may change over time as you grow with the company.
