Transport and Campus Logistics Manager Up to 39,772 per annum A minimum of 40 hours per week Permanent About the Role:
Oversee daily transport operations supporting academic activity, sport, residential provision and off-site commitments
Manage fleet operations, including vehicle compliance, servicing, MOTs, inspections and leasing arrangements
Line manage a team of Hartpury drivers, allocating drivers and resources effectively, ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and budgetary controls
Act as the main point of contact for transport enquiries from staff, students and parents
Operational management of contracted transport management services for Home to School and Gloucester Shuttle services
Manage direct relationships with external transport providers and arrange ad hoc transport where required
Maintenance of service continuity including undertaking driving duties when required
This role requires early morning operational oversight, with working hours expected to commence from 06:30 to align with peak service delivery and incident management
Timely communication with Hartpury colleagues regarding students impacted by any disruptions to services
Respond to periodic out-of-hours callouts to manage urgent vehicle or service issues, including faults, breakdowns or electric vehicle charging matters
Provide occasional weekend support to facilitate student Open Days and other key campus events
Provide oversight of on campus car parks and vehicle logistics
About You:
Knowledge of transport legislation, health and safety requirements and compliance standards
Proven experience in transport, fleet or logistics management
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and operational demands
Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach
Competent IT skills, including scheduling and operational systems
Full UK driving licence, including D1 and willingness to work flexibly, including early starts and occasional weekends
