Speedy Freight is a fast-growing provider of same-day courier and transport solutions across the UK. We're looking for an enthusiastic Transport & Customer Operations Advisor to join our operations team.

This role is ideal for someone with a customer service, transport admin, or logistics support background who enjoys problem-solving, speaking to customers and drivers, and keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in coordinating transport bookings, supporting customers, and helping ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day will include:

Taking customer bookings by phone and entering them onto our transport management system (TMS) Planning efficient transport routes and sourcing suitable vehicles Liaising with subcontract drivers and negotiating pricing Supporting customer onboarding and setting up new accounts Managing live jobs and tracking drivers throughout the day Communicating with customers and drivers to ensure delivery KPIs are met Supporting reporting and ensuring accurate data for key customers Helping control costs, margins, and vehicle utilisation Working closely with customer services and the wider operations team
You'll gain exposure to route planning, cost control, customer relationship management, and transport operations, making this a great stepping stone into a logistics career.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in attitude and potential than direct planning experience. You'll be a great fit if you:

Have experience in customer service, transport admin, or a busy office environment Are confident on the phone and communicate clearly and professionally Are well organised and able to juggle multiple tasks Enjoy working under pressure and to deadlines Are comfortable using IT systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Have GCSE-level English and Maths (or equivalent) Hold a full UK driving licence

Desirable (but not essential):

Previous exposure to transport, logistics, or courier environments Basic Excel or reporting skills Awareness of transport or driver regulations
