We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Transport Assistant
with a strong focus on
returns processing and service request coordination
. This role supports the smooth and efficient handling of product returns, and service-related transport requests, working closely with internal departments, transport partners, and customers to ensure timely resolution and high service quality whilst focusing on DIFOT.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
Returns Management
Coordinate the collection and return of goods from customers, retail outlets, or distribution centers.
Ensure all return documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Liaise with the warehouse and inventory teams to verify returned goods and update systems accordingly.
Investigate and escalate discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
Service Request Coordination
Manage inbound transport service requests (e.g., exchanges, repairs, faulty item pickups).
Allocate and schedule transport resources to fulfill service requests promptly.
Transport and Logistics Support
Assist in routing and scheduling transport vehicles, with special attention to return logistics.
Monitor and track return shipments using internal systems or third-party platforms.
Maintain accurate records of transport activity, service performance, and delays.
Systems & Reporting
Update internal databases with return and service request statuses.
Generate reports on return trends, service levels, and logistics performance for management review.
Communication and Collaboration
Act as a liaison between customers, customer service, transport providers, and warehouse teams.
Handle complaints or issues related to returns or services with professionalism and urgency.

Essential and Desirable Skills
Knowledge in Microsoft Packages including Business Central.
Strong analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
