We are currently seeking an experienced

Transport Consultant

to provide professional oversight and guidance on our transport operations and compliance systems.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will act as our

nominated Transport Manager

(external consultant) and take responsibility for ensuring our transport operations meet all relevant DVSA and Operator Licence obligations.

You will provide ongoing compliance advice, carry out audits, and support our team in maintaining the highest levels of safety and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the nominated Transport Manager for our Operator Licence Oversee compliance with transport legislation and DVSA standards Review and maintain driver records, vehicle maintenance schedules, and tachograph data Conduct regular audits and provide clear recommendations for improvement Liaise with company directors and operational staff to ensure full compliance

About You

We're looking for a qualified and experienced Transport Manager or Consultant who can offer expert guidance in a part-time capacity. You'll be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident advising on best practices within transport compliance and logistics management.

Essential Requirements:

Current Transport Manager CPC (Road Haulage) qualification Proven experience in transport compliance and fleet management Strong knowledge of Operator Licence obligations and DVSA regulations Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills Ability to work independently and deliver concise, actionable guidance

Desirable:

Experience within civil engineering, aggregates, or construction logistics Prior experience working as an external or freelance Transport Consultant
