It's all about the detail, that's where our attention is and that's where we need you! Join our team as a Transport Coordinator to support our team of HGV and van drivers. Reporting into the Transport Manager and working an early or late shift so that you are able to provide support to each of our driving teams, you will oversee the coordination of transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of our products across the UK.

What you will be doing

Coordinate transport schedules to meet delivery requirements Provide Class 1 or Class 2 driver cover, as and when required, to include weekends Resolve transportation issues promptly and efficiently Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Deputise for the Transport Manager in their absence Participate in a weekly rotation with the Transport Manager to handle incoming calls during and after business hours Maintain clear and effective communication with the dispatch team and drivers to ensure smooth operations Provide regular reports on fleet performance, driver behaviour and any incidents Ensuring that daily basket counts are completed, updating records and reporting anomalies

About You

You will be a professional and experienced driver (2 years experience), with a class 1 and class 2 licence, a full UK / EU / EEA driving licence for at least 24 months with no more than 6 penalty points with an date driver CPC. (Desirable) Strong communication skills with the ability to constructively challenge Are personable with a good sense of humour Ability to manage transportation activities effectively Are able to take the initiative and use common sense Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft programmes Experience of transporting refrigerated goods would enhance your application
