About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised

Transportation Dispatch Planner

to join our operations team at

JD.com

. In this key role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, scheduling, and dispatching of transport operations to ensure on-time performance, efficiency, and compliance across our distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and dispatch transportation routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse staff to manage daily transport operations. Monitor live transport activity and adjust dispatch schedules in response to delays or operational changes. Ensure all dispatch documentation, systems updates, and communication are accurate and timely. Optimise fleet usage and route planning to reduce fuel costs and maximise efficiency. Liaise with customer service teams to provide timely updates on delivery status. Maintain compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies. Analyse transport data and KPIs to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in transport planning, dispatch coordination, or logistics scheduling. Solid understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and route planning software. Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Confident IT skills, especially with Microsoft Excel and transport planning tools. Flexible approach to shift patterns and operational demands. A qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is desirable.
