4 on, 4 off working 7am-7pm

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Transport FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team To lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development Carrying out HR Management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management and disciplinaries

Must have people management experience within transport - ideally managing a large driver fleet of up to 120 drivers Must have experience working within a transport office / supply chain environment Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages Excellent knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours Strong communication skills - across various stakeholders, including customers
