PSV Transport Manager - Full?Time

Salary:

32,000-42,000 per year (depending on experience)

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated

PSV Transport Manager

to join our growing team. This is a key role within our organisation, responsible for ensuring our fleet, staff and daily operations run safely, legally and efficiently across multiple council and social?care transport contracts.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the management of PSV operations, including school transport, social?care routes, and specialist transport for vulnerable adults and pupils. You'll work closely with drivers, escorts, council officers and senior management to maintain high standards of safety, compliance and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Managing day?to?day PSV operations across several counties Ensuring full compliance with DVSA and Traffic Commissioner requirements Overseeing vehicle maintenance schedules, safety inspections and record?keeping Coordinating staff rotas, route planning and operational cover Responding promptly to operational issues and ensuring swift resolution Supporting tender submissions, audits and contract reviews Maintaining strong working relationships with local authorities and partner organisations

About You

We're looking for someone with practical experience, strong organisational skills and a calm, solutions?focused approach. You should be confident managing a busy transport environment and comfortable making decisions that keep services running smoothly.

Essential Requirements

Transport Manager CPC (Passenger Transport) Experience in PSV, school transport or social?care transport Strong understanding of compliance, safety and operational standards Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to issues
