Job Summary

We are seeking an organised Transport Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our logistics and transportation services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transport schedules, coordinating with supply chain teams, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics management within a fast-paced environment. The Transport Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of customer service whilst optimising operational efficiency.

The Transport manager will be required to lead from the front by organising not only the other drivers daily drops but there own too

Duties

Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimise delivery schedules and minimise costs. Manage daily operations of the transport team, including scheduling drivers and overseeing vehicle maintenance. Coordinate with supply chain and logistics departments to ensure seamless movement of goods. Monitor and analyse transportation performance to identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly. Lead, motivate, and develop the transport team to achieve organisational goals. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries and resolving transportation-related concerns efficiently. Liaise with the office and garages on any vehicle issues or servicing

Requirements

Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and transportation regulations. Leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams confidently. Strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple schedules simultaneously.

Pay: 33,000.00-35,000.00 per year
