Transport Manager - Waste, Concrete & Scaffolding Sheridan Group | Manchester / Greater Manchester

Sheridan Group is a fast-growing, multi-division business operating across skip hire, concrete supply, and scaffolding services. We are seeking an experienced, CPC-qualified Transport Manager to take ownership of our fleet, drivers, routing, and transport compliance across all divisions.

The Role:

Manage day-to-day transport operations across skips, concrete mixers, and scaffolding vehicles Plan, route, and schedule delivery trucks to maximize efficiency and on-time performance o Lead, manage, and motivate drivers o Ensure full O-Licence, DVSA, and tachograph compliance Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, and defect reporting o Optimize fleet utilization and reduce downtime Liaise with operations and site teams to meet delivery demands o Support fleet growth as the business scales
What We're Looking For:

CPC-qualified Transport Manager Proven experience managing HGV fleets and driver routing Strong knowledge of DVSA, O-Licence, and tachograph regulations Background in waste, scaffolding, concrete, construction, or logistics Confident, firm but fair leadership style Organized, commercially aware, and operationally strong Why Join Sheridan Group?
