Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to organise and optimise transport routes effectively.

Duties



Manage and coordinate all transport activities to ensure efficient delivery of goods. Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency. Oversee the scheduling of transport routes and monitor vehicle utilisation. Maintain communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly. Lead a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing training and support as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in transportation operations. Prepare reports on transport performance, including delivery times, costs, and customer feedback. Utilise software tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word for scheduling, reporting, and communication purposes.

Experience


The successful candidate will possess:

Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development. Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word. Exceptional customer service skills to maintain positive client relationships. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for occasional site visits or assessments.
