Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate the organisation of transportation operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a comprehensive understanding of logistics and excellent communication abilities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing daily transport activities and maintaining safety standards,
Duties
o Manage the fleet and ensure the kit is compliant with legislation, vehicle maintenance schedules being regularly audited, continually reviewing legislation changes.
Ensure Health and Safety requirements of the company are met within the department
o Point of contact for motor Insurance
o Checking daily defects
o Ensure all vehicles are licensed, registered and insured
o To effectively manage the vehicle scheduling across the site in regards maintenance and repairs
o Any other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
o Full UK Driving Licence
o Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage - International
o Detailed understanding of relevant legislations in transport and health & safety
o IT Literate (Microsoft Office)
o Minimum 1 years' experience in Transport Management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 40,000.00 per year
