Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Transport Manager

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire transportation process, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Your leadership will drive efficiency across our branch fleet management, route planning, and compliance activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Coordinate schedules for drivers and transport routes, optimising efficiency and utilisation. Oversee compliance with safety regulations and company policies across all transportation activities. Manage driver performance, providing guidance and support Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Monitor vehicle conditions and organise maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.

Requirements

Exceptional communication skills for clear coordination with teams and external partners Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage teams efficiently. Nice-to-have: relevant certifications such as CPC (Certified Professional in Transportation) or equivalent industry credentials

Company offers:

Competitive Salary : Negotiable on experience

Monday to Friday 7.00am - 5.00pm.

25 days holiday, plus bank holidays

Full staff uniform supplied including all required PPE

Pay: From 30,000.00 per year
